Job Description

Located in the city center of Beijing, the College of Artificial Intelligence at Capital Normal University (Beijing) invites applications for full-time faculty positions and research positions at all ranks (Professor /Associate Professor /Assistant Professor/Researcher/Associate Researcher/Assistant Researcher). We welcome applicants with fundamental research and/or teaching focus across a broad range of AI disciplines, including but not limited to: Machine Learning & Deep Learning Theory, Computer Vision (3D, Video, Generative AI, Multimodal), Natural Language Processing & Large Language Models, Data Mining & Databases, Generative AI and Creative Applications, Graph Learning & Knowledge Graphs, AI for Healthcare / Biology / Scientific Discovery, Autonomous Systems & Embodied AI, Trustworthy AI (Robustness, Fairness, Privacy), Efficient AI (Neural Architecture Search, Model Compression), AI for Science, Healthcare, and Sustainability, Electrical Engineering & Signal Processing, Neuromorphic & Brain-Inspired Computing. Successful candidates are expected to build an active research program, supervise graduate students, and contribute to undergraduate and graduate education.
IDEAL PROFILES
PhD in Computer Science, ECE, Statistics, Mathematics, or a closely related field Strong publication record at top venues (Neur
IPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, ACL, EMNLP, KDD, SIGIR, AAAI, IJCAI, IEEE/ACM
Transactions, etc.) Commitment to collaborative, rigorous academic research Good academic ethics and professionalism Early-career researchers — including assistant professors, postdoctoral researchers, and research scientists concluding appointments in 2026-2029 — are particularly encouraged to apply. COMPENSATION & RESOURCES
Capital Normal University offers highly competitive packages by international standards. China's effective tax rates are substantially lower than those in most OECD countries, which meaningfully increases take-home pay at comparable income levels. Eligible candidates may also qualify for substantial multi-year research grants from national and Beijing municipal funding bodies, awarded on top of the base university package.
