Campbell Ave., Tucson, AZ 85719 USA Position Highlights The Department of Emergency Medicine, Division of EMS is seeking a Biostatistician II who will play a key role in the analysis and interpretation of complex research data for various clinical and scientific projects. This position will utilize a wide range of advanced statistical software, methods, and techniques to gather, analyze, and derive meaningful insights that contribute to ongoing research efforts. The ideal candidate will have experience executing and evaluating machine learning models, ensuring that all processes are executed with precision and adhere to the highest clinical research standards. Duties & Responsibilities Use a variety of advanced statistical methods and software to analyze large datasets, identifying key patterns, trends, and insights that inform research outcomes. Provide actionable insights and interpretations of research data for clinical studies and scientific projects. Ensure that all data analysis adheres to the highest standards of clinical research, including best practices for data integrity, validity, and reproducibility. Build and maintain data sets used for data entry and project reports. Collaborate with clinical research teams to maintain rigorous standards for data management, ensuring research findings are reliable and consistent. Evaluate model performance, adjusting parameters and approaches to enhance accuracy and predictive capabilities. Collaborate with interdisciplinary research teams to interpret data findings and provide statistical guidance. Present analysis results to stakeholders through clear, concise reports and presentations. Write the methods and results section of scientific manuscripts for publication.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively with different groups/individuals while working in a team environment. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information. Computer proficiency. Proficiency with at least one statistical software package, like R, SAS, SPSS, or STATA. Excellent problem solving, organizational, written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and attention to detail is critical. Ability to prioritize workload to meet project deadlines.
