Position Introduction:
The Director of Assessment and Evaluation provides strategic leadership, oversight, and innovation in the design, implementation, analysis, interpretation, and continuous improvement of assessment systems across the undergraduate medical education (UME) program. This role ensures that assessment practices are valid, reliable, data-driven, and aligned with institutional goals, accreditation standards (e.g., Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME)), and national best practices in medical education. The Director partners with faculty, course and clerkship directors, curriculum leaders, student affairs, institutional research, and accreditation teams to develop a comprehensive program of learner assessment and program evaluation. Required Education and Experience:
Doctoral degree (PhD) in the fields of statistical sciences, data science/analytics, biostatistics/epidemiology, psychometrics/quantitative psychology, bioinformatics, engineering, or AI/machine learning, information technology.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education.
