Job Description
Description We are looking for an
SAP FICO
Systems Analyst to join a contract opportunity with the potential for a Contract to Hire role based in California. This role is ideal for a business analyst with deepSAP FICO
knowledge who can connect finance operations with system capabilities across core accounting and controlling functions. The selected candidate will support financial process improvement, guide stakeholders through upcomingSAP S/4HANA
readiness activities, and help ensure stable, well-structured financial system operations. This position is onsite, and able to sit out of either the client's offices in Glendora, CA or Las Vegas, NV.Responsibilities:
- Partner with finance and technical teams to evaluate business needs and translate them into effective
SAP FICO
solutions that support daily operations and long-term objectives.- Analyze and support core financial modules, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, and controlling processes.
- Contribute to planning efforts related to
SAP S/4HANA
readiness by helping stakeholders assess impacts, define requirements, and prepare for future-state processes.- Maintain and improve configuration and process alignment for product costing, cost center accounting, profit center accounting, budgeting, planning, and settlement activities.
- Review and support financial master data structures such as G/L accounts, cost centers, profit centers, and accounting-related customer and vendor records.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify gaps, document business processes, and recommend practical system and reporting enhancements.
- Assist with project systems and related financial tracking needs to improve visibility into costs, performance, and operational results.
- Provide input on banking connectivity, interface-related considerations, and other integrated financial system components where applicable. Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in business analysis, financial systems, or SAP-focused roles supporting enterprise finance functions.
- Strong hands-on expertise in SAP FICO, including financial accounting and controlling capabilities.
- Demonstrated experience working with general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset accounting, and core controlling processes.
- Practical knowledge of product costing, planning and budgeting, order settlement, project systems, and profit or cost center accounting.
- Solid understanding of financial master data design, including G/L structures, cost centers, profit centers, and customer or vendor accounting views.
- Exposure to SAP HANA and familiarity with SAP S/4HANA-related environments, planning, or transformation support.
- Ability to gather requirements, communicate with stakeholders, and translate business needs into clear functional recommendations.
- Experience with bank setup, system interfaces, contract and lease management, or financial performance management tools is a plus.
