Role:
The Senior Business Intelligence Engineer leads the design and development of scalable business intelligence and analytics solutions that support scientific and operational decision-making across Neurocrine's research and development organization. This role combines strong business intelligence expertise with the ability to design scalable data models, semantic layers, and analytics-ready datasets that ensure consistency, performance, and reuse across the organization. Working closely with Research and Development, Business and System Analysts, Data Platforms and business stakeholders, this individual serves as a senior partner translating complex scientific and business questions into intuitive dashboards, trusted metrics, and decision-ready insights. The role requires both deep business intelligence expertise and a strong understanding of how pharmaceutical research data is generated, structured, and used to advance programs. _ Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to): Lead the design, development, and maintenance of business intelligence dashboards, reports, and analytic data products that support scientific, operational, and portfolio decisions Partner with senior cross-functional stakeholders to translate research, development, and business requirements into scalable BI solutions, meaningful KPIs, and decision-ready insights Define and influence reporting standards, metric definitions, semantic consistency, and data quality practices across the analytics environment Integrate, profile, and validate data from research systems, clinical sources, and enterprise platforms to ensure consistency and trust in reporting Apply deep understanding of pharmaceutical research workflows, including discovery, preclinical studies, translational research, and clinical development, to frame analytics priorities and guide solution design Provide technical guidance, review work products, and share best practices with peers or junior team members where appropriate Drive troubleshooting, performance tuning, user adoption, and continuous improvement of dashboards and reporting solutions Prepare and maintain documentation that supports transparency, reproducibility, governance, and audit readiness
