SFO, California (1 Day Onsite per Week) Local resources only
Duration:
6- 12 months
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Finance Functional Consultant to support and enhance Oracle Financial applications for the University of California. The ideal candidate should have strong functional expertise in Oracle Finance modules along with experience in implementation, support, enhancements, and business process optimization. The consultant will work closely with finance stakeholders, business users, and technical teams to support day-to-day operations, system improvements, reporting, integrations, and ongoing Oracle Finance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Gather and analyze business requirements related to Oracle Financial modules Configure and support Oracle Finance applications based on business needs Work closely with finance teams, business users, and technical teams for issue resolution and enhancements Support implementation, upgrade, enhancement, and production support activities Prepare functional design documents, BRDs, test scripts, and user training documentation Participate in SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-production support Troubleshoot functional issues and coordinate with technical teams for resolutions Support month-end and year-end financial processes Work with reporting teams on
OTBI, BI
Publisher, and financial reporting requirements Coordinate with integration teams for interfaces between Oracle Finance and other enterprise systems
Required Skills:
Strong experience as an Oracle Finance Functional Consultant Hands-on experience with Oracle Financial modules including: General Ledger (GL) Accounts Payable (AP) Accounts Receivable (AR) Fixed Assets (FA) Cash Management (CM) Procurement to Pay (P2P) Strong understanding of Finance business processes and accounting principles Experience in requirement gathering, configuration, testing, and support Experience working with Oracle EBS or Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Higher Education or Public Sector environments Exposure to Oracle Procurement and SCM modules Knowledge of
OTBI, BI
Publisher, or financial reporting tools Experience with integrations, interfaces, and data conversion activities Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery models
Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field Oracle certifications are preferred 10+ years of Oracle Finance Functional experience preferred
