Power BI Consultant

Job Description We are seeking a hands‑on Business Intelligence Analyst with deep experience building Power BI semantic models and reports to transform complex data into clear, trusted insights. This role is highly execution‑oriented and requires strong analytical skills, comfort working directly with data, and the ability to translate business questions into well‑designed models, measures, and visualizations. The ideal candidate will own Power BI solutions end‑to‑end—spanning data analysis, semantic modeling, DAX, and report development—while partnering closely with business stakeholders and IT/data teams within a governed analytics environment. • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including: o Building and maintaining Power BI semantic models o Developing production‑quality reports and dashboards o Writing and optimizing DAX measures for analytical use cases
• Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to: o Explore, validate, and interpret data o Identify trends, anomalies, and root causes o Translate business questions into analytical logic and metrics
• Solid SQL experience, including writing, modifying, and troubleshooting queries used for reporting and modeling
• Experience designing clean, scalable data models, including star schemas, relationships, and reusable metrics
• Familiarity with governed self‑service analytics and Citizen IT models in Power BI (datasets, certified/promoted content, shared measures)
• Strong understanding of business operations, KPIs, and performance metrics, with the ability to challenge assumptions using data
• Experience working cross‑functionally with IT, data engineering, and business teams
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain analytical concepts and data findings to non‑technical stakeholders
