This position reports to:
IS Application Manager, Supply Chain __ As an SAP eWM Functional Analyst, you will represent and lead SAP Extended Warehouse Management solutions and their implementation/delivery/maintenance. This role requires a unique blend of technical SAP expertise and practical warehouse operations experience. You will bridge the gap between technology and business operations, working closely with warehouse managers and operators to understand real-world challenges and deliver solutions that drive operational excellence. This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Power Digital Organization globally. The work model is onsite. There are 2 openings for this role, one candidate to be hire in United States (TX) and other one will be hired in Italy (Milan). Candidate should have valid work permit to work legally in Italy or United States.
Key Responsibilities:
Support Solution Architects during Fit & Gap workshops with business stakeholders: business requirement collection, translate business requirements into meaningful IS demand Work hands-on with warehouse managers, continue improvements managers and system users to understand daily operational challenges and translate them into functional requirements Estimate functional effort and timeline for change requests and project implementations Promote SAP eWM solution architecture in adherence to SAP eWM Global Template and best practices Write Comprehensive Functional Design Specifications (FDS) in alignment with SAP eWM Architecture and ABB Global Template Coordinate the preparation of Business Blueprint documents and contribute to Business Blueprint writing Support ABAP/Fiori developers and technical architects in preparing Technical Specifications Configure SAP eWM system and coordinate external supplier analysts in building solutions Prepare System Integration Testing (SIT) scenarios and detailed test scripts Execute SIT for critical flows and coordinate with developers for bug fixing and issue resolution Prepare training documentation and conduct training sessions for warehouse staff and end-users on critical processes Contribute to UAT scenario preparation and system setup for UAT execution Prepare functional tasks for cut-over planning and execution. Lead functional analysts during hypercare phase for rapid issue resolution Provide proactive support to business and IS solution/technical architects in continuous improvement initiatives. Collaborate with business partners to align technology solutions with operational strategies Stay current with SAP eWM latest versions, trends, and future enhancements. Support SAP eWM application operations and incident management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree required (Engineering, Business Administration with focus on Logistics/IT, or Information Systems preferred) SAP Certified Extended Warehouse Management (eWM) Consultant is mandatory Overall 10+ years of experience in information system domain and 5-7 years of SAP eWM implementation experience on both SAP ECC and
S/4 HANA
(decentralized version preferred) Minimum 4 full lifecycle SAP eWM projects implementations. Proven experience working directly on the warehouse floor alongside warehouse managers and operators to understand real-world logistics challenges Experience in distribution center management and warehouse operations environment Strong background in business requirement gathering, analysis, scoping, solution design, testing, data migration, cutover, and hypercare Experience in problem isolation and resolution related to SD, MM, and related interface functionalities Deep knowledge of SAP eWM architecture, objects, and data model Comprehensive understanding of all SAP eWM functionalities including: Inbound Processing, Outbound Processing, Physical Inventory RF Transactions (RFUI Framework), Post Processing Framework HU Management, Transportation Units, Production Integration Knowledge of SAP eWM CDS views and ODATA services for
S/4 HANA.
Functional knowledge of SAP Fiori Apps and extensibility.
Understanding of technical extensions:
BADIs, Function Modules, APIs Expertise in SAP eWM Best Practices. Knowledge of Roles and Authorizations concepts in SAP S/4 and SAP Fiori.
Experience with SAP integration tools:
IDOC, qRFC, web services, ALE Experience in EWM integration with ERP/Non-ERP systems in particular TMS and Trade compliance applications. Understanding of performance optimization and troubleshooting. Good knowledge of ABAP (debugging level minimum) Proficiency in documentation: Business Blueprint, configuration documents, functional specifications, user manuals, test scripts. Knowledge of project management methodologies; waterfall, agile, etc Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is must.
