Job Description

Job Description This is a paid year-round internship designed for a student to work while completing their degree. The emphasis of this position will be to conduct financial and industry analysis, fulfill data and research requests and help maintain and enhance analytical tools offered by Member Solutions. The position will also support our sales and marketing efforts with our members.
In this Role you will:
Learn the Power BI tool to support department reporting responsibilities and dashboard development. Research and analyze industry data from sources such as S&P Global Market Intelligence, FDIC, Federal Reserve, and Bloomberg. Conduct financial analysis on bank and credit union members and monitor trends within their industries. Support ad hoc analytics, research projects, and data-driven insights related to member business activity. Respond to data requests from Member Products and other internal departments. Maintain and enhance analytical tools developed by Member Solutions and contribute to new tool development. Build understanding of internal systems, data structures, and member-focused products.
Qualifications:
One year of similar or related work experience - including work at a financial institution - is preferred. Twelve hours of college accounting or finance or the completion of at least sophomore year of college working toward an undergraduate degree in finance or accounting is preferred. Additionally, data analysis skills and knowledge of reporting tools is preferred. Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for purposes of giving or obtaining information, building relationships, or soliciting cooperation. Ability to work independently. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Some knowledge of data management and reporting tools is preferred. Knowledge and proficient use of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Must be able to operate all types of general office equipment.
