Business Intelligence Analyst Sr - Data Visualization Selby Jennings - 3.0 Boston, MA Job Details Contract 2 hours ago Qualifications Data visualization software proficiency Business intelligence report generation Business intelligence tools Data-driven problem-solving Data analytics technologies Full Job Description Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (Power BI) Selby Jennings is partnered with a leading global insurance organization looking to add a Senior Business Intelligence Analyst to their growing analytics function. This is a high-impact role focused on data visualization, Power BI dash boarding, and building scalable reporting solutions across the business. This is ideal for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear insights and wants to work in a collaborative, data-driven environment with strong backing from leadership. The Role You'll be responsible for designing and developing interactive dashboards and reporting frameworks that directly support business decision-making. The team is heavily invested in improving reporting automation and consistency, so there's strong visibility and opportunity to shape best practices.
Key responsibilities include:
Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports (must be hands-on) Query and prepare data using SQL and Snowflake Translate complex data into simple, actionable insights for stakeholders Partner with business teams to understand reporting needs and deliver solutions Help design scalable BI frameworks and data visualization standards Support automation of reporting workflows (Airflow, Jenkins, Bitbucket) Contribute to documentation and best practices across the BI function What We're Looking For 6-8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics Strong, hands-on experience with Power BI (required) Solid SQL skills + experience working with modern data platforms (Snowflake preferred) Experience with data visualization best practices and dashboard design Exposure to Python or automation tools is a plus Strong communication skills - ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders Nice to Have Experience within insurance, financial services, or related industries Background building automated reporting solutions Experience with cloud data environments or data warehousing Why This Role?
