Job Description

SAP Data Migration Consultant SAP Data Migration Consultant Location:

Onsite (Edison, NJ) Role Overview We are looking for an experienced SAP Data Migration Consultant to work closely with the SAP Data Migration team and business stakeholders to validate, test, and ensure the successful migration of master and transactional data into SAP. The consultant will be responsible for data validation, reconciliation, testing, defect management, and ensuring data quality throughout the migration lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with SAP Data Migration, Functional, and Business teams to understand migration scope, data mapping, and transformation rules. Develop and execute data migration testing strategies, test cases, and validation scripts. Validate migrated SAP data for completeness, accuracy, consistency, and compliance with business requirements. Perform source-to-target data reconciliation across SAP and legacy systems. Verify migration of core SAP objects, including: Material Master Business Partner (Customer/Vendor) Finance Master Data Bills of Material (BOM) Routings Purchasing Data Inventory Data Open Transactions Asset Data Employee/HR Data (if applicable) Execute mock loads, dress rehearsals, SIT, UAT, and cutover validation activities. Identify data quality issues and work with migration developers and functional consultants to resolve defects. Review ETL transformation logic and ensure compliance with migration design specifications. Support data cleansing, enrichment, and governance activities. Prepare migration readiness reports and provide recommendations for production deployment. Assist during go-live and hypercare activities to validate migrated data. Required Skills 8+ years of SAP Data Migration experience, including at least 2 full lifecycle SAP implementations or transformations. Strong understanding of SAP master data and transactional data structures.

Experience with:

SAP S/4HANA SAP ECC SAP

Migration Cockpit SAP Data Services (BODS)

SAP LSMW SAP MDG

(preferred) Strong SQL and data analysis skills. Experience in data reconciliation and validation techniques. Knowledge of SAP modules such as:

SAP MM SAP SD SAP PP SAP FICO SAP EWM SAP

SuccessFactors (optional) Experience with data quality tools and reporting. Ability to analyze large datasets and identify migration issues. Preferred Qualifications

SAP S/4HANA

Migration Project experience. Experience with Greenfield, Brownfield, or Selective Data Transition projects. Knowledge of SAP Activate methodology. Understanding of data governance and master data management principles. SAP certification in S/4HANA, Data Migration, or relevant functional modules is preferred.
