No Department Details This Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst position is a member of a BI Analyst team that supports Sanford Health Plan, Security Health Plan, and Sanford Health's integrated health plan. This role also actively engages with other data and analytics department staff, including report developers, system developers and data scientists as well as related health plan partners. This analyst team supports the data requirements for the entire Sanford Health Plan and Security Health Plan organization. The analyst will have the opportunity to work with multiple functional areas such as Provider Relations, Pharmacy, Enrollment, and Premium Billing. This role has a wide range of responsibilities that includes gathering business requirements, data analytics, reporting concepts, presentation, and cross-team collaboration. The successful candidate will possess a mix of data analytics experience, critical thinking skills and health plan operations knowledge. However, candidates with a desire and aptitude for learning the health plan business structure will be considered. Data application proficiencies considered to be essential or preferred for this position include: Essential

  • Option to work from home (2x per week) Summary Responsible for analyzing and reporting a variety of statistical and clinical data.
A crucial requirement will be to analyze trends and outcomes within the data and provide answers and possible solutions for the consumer. Data reported accurately and timely. Complete special projects as assigned ensuring that all information meets the highest data integrity. Job Description May include other responsibilities such as data integration to and maintenance of supporting databases. Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail. Organize and prioritize tasks effectively. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively prepare, present, and discuss reports and studies with management as well as other groups and individuals. Good working knowledge of computer based applications. General knowledge of and ability to learn and understand database structure and relationships as well as various statistical concepts and tools. Willing to make independent and timely decisions when circumstances warrant. Conceptualize the abstract. Collect and organize detailed information. Demonstrate patience, tact, a cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as the willingness and ability to handle difficult situations. Willing to seek out new information and knowledge and be willing to embrace new responsibilities and change. Conducts themselves in a professional manner at all times. Continuously searches for opportunities of automating manual processes and developing on-demand tools for descriptive data. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, data science, computer science, statistics, or STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) related majors.
