The Department of Enterprise Applications (DEA) Reporting and Analytics Team manages the Business Objects and other SAP reporting tools to assist agencies in the development and publication of reports and dashboards. Scope of the project:
The Department of Enterprise Applications (DEA) Reporting and Analytics Team is requesting the services of a senior consultant to assist in the design and development of Business Objects dashboards and reports in the SAP environment. The consultant will provide technical analysis and expertise to optimize universes and data structures; coordinate the development of functional specifications; design and develop requested reports and dashboards in a quality manner; create detailed documentation that facilitates the use and future modification of these reports and dashboards; and provide extensive knowledge transfer sessions for IT and business users in the use of Business Objects tools and techniques. The State of SC has implemented the following modules of SAP across all state agencies: FI, FM, HR, Payroll, SRM, CRM, Treasury Management, BW, and Business Objects. The consultant will design, develop, edit, and maintain queries using Business Objects tools and techniques to support reporting requirements and data integration tasks across a broad spectrum of applications and uses. The consultant will coordinate activities with DEA to ensure decisions, recommendations, and work products follow best practices and established standards.

Responsibilities:
- Interact with DEA personnel and agencies to gather/develop functional and technical requirements and translate them into proposed business intelligence applications and reporting solutions.
- Coordinate with DEA personnel and agencies to design, develop, and maintain complex business intelligence reporting and analytical solutions using various Business Objects tools and techniques.
- Create and present prototypes to users as well as propose alternative solutions to legacy reports using different technologies and development techniques.
- Create requirements documents for approval by system owners and business users to be used in the development of reports and dashboards.
- Model, design, develop, test, and implement approved solutions in accordance with business reporting requirements.
