C Overview:
Responsible for administering, maintaining, and optimizing SAP database platforms, primarily SAP HANA, to ensure high availability, performance, security, and reliability for business-critical SAP applications. Supports database operations across on-premise, cloud, and hybrid environments while collaborating closely with SAP Basis, infrastructure, and application teams.
Description:
Administer
SAP HANA
databases and, where required, Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2 environments supporting SAP workloads. Perform database installation, patching, upgrades, backup/restore, recovery testing, and lifecycle management activities. Monitor and optimize database performance, capacity, memory utilization, and system health. Support
SAP S/4HANA
migrations, cloud transformations, and hybrid deployment models. Implement and maintain performance baselines, operational KPIs, and database governance standards. Collaborate with Basis, infrastructure, and cloud teams on HA/DR solutions, storage, networking, and incident resolution. Support cloud-hosted database environments on AWS, Azure, or GCP with a focus on security, resilience, and cost optimization. Develop and maintain automation for health checks, patch management, monitoring, and operational runbooks. Ensure database security, compliance, audit readiness, and adherence to enterprise standards. Troubleshoot complex database issues and provide timely resolution for business-critical systems.
