SAP MM Systems Analyst Summary:
The main function of a Systems Analyst is to evaluate and improve IT systems to meet business needs and enhance operational efficiency. A typical Systems Analyst is responsible for analyzing system requirements, designing solutions, and coordinating with technical teams to implement and support system changes. Job Responsibilities:
Analyze current systems and processes to identify areas for improvement or automation. Gather and document business and technical requirements from stakeholders. Design and propose system solutions that align with organizational goals. Collaborate with developers, engineers, and end users to implement and test system changes. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure reliability and efficiency. Maintain documentation of system configurations, workflows, and support procedures. Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proficiency in system analysis tools and techniques. Familiarity with databases, software development life cycles, and IT infrastructure. Effective communication skills for translating technical concepts to non-technical users. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Experience with documentation and process mapping tools. Looking for a candidate with 5-7 years of strong hands-on experience with SAP MM configuration (Plants, Storage Locations, Procurement -including Stock Transport Orders, Inventory management, Logistics). Thorough understanding of material master views and business implications of data Experience in project cutover, go-live, and hyper-care support. Must have worked on Data Extraction, Cleansing, Mapping, Migration, and Reconciliation. Experience with Mass Loads is a must. Strong background in procurement and logistics operations. Hands-on experience with Material Planning, MRP procedures, and cycle counting. Experience with IDOC/EDI

Set up, monitor Batch jobs and troubleshoot failures Ability to create functional and technical specifications for development work. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve complex SAP issues. Must be able to work independently with minimal to no supervision At least one end-to-end Project as primary functional resource for all Materials Management data requirements, supporting multiple ETL and reporting projects. Collaborated with BI and ABAP teams to develop functional specifications for reports, interfaces, conversions, and enhancements related to MM data. Works in the MM system daily, not just high level or oversight roles. Can troubleshoot production issues quickly. Knows the MM module end-to-end, not just integration touchpoints. Candidates with only 1 3 years of MM experience will not be considered. 2. Data Extraction & Cleansing Experience Considered very important. Ranking priority:
just below MM experience. Candidates should have real experience with: Data extraction Data cleansing Data migration 3. SAP MDG Experience Helpful but not mandatory. If a candidate is very strong in MM + data skills, the manager is fine with lighter MDG experience. MDG can be picked up if the MM foundation is strong. 4.
