Job Description

Business Intelligence Analyst Position Summary The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is responsible for transforming data into actionable insights that support strategic decision-making across the organization. This role designs, develops, and maintains reporting solutions, dashboards, and data models to improve operational efficiency, clinical outcomes, and business performance. The BI Analyst collaborates closely with leadership, clinical teams, finance, and IT to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, and usability. Duties and Responsibilities Analyze large datasets from EHR systems, financial systems, and operational platforms. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and scorecards using BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). Translate business requirements into technical specifications and data models. Deliver insights that support strategic initiatives, performance improvement, and compliance reporting. Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from multiple sources into centralized data repositories. Validate data accuracy and integrity across systems. Work with IT teams to ensure data governance, standardization, and quality controls. Partner with clinical, operational, and executive teams to identify reporting needs. Communicate complex data findings in a clear, actionable manner. Support leadership with ad-hoc analysis and decision support. Support regulatory and reporting requirements (e.g., UDS, quality measures, payer reporting). Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends or anomalies. Recommend process improvements based on data insights. Performance Requirements Analytical thinking and problem-solving Attention to detail and data accuracy Strong communication and presentation skills Ability to manage multiple priorities Strategic and business-oriented mindset Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Healthcare Administration, or related field. 3-5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or reporting. Experience with BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar. Strong SQL skills for querying and manipulating data. Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, Oracle, etc.). Proficiency in data visualization and storytelling. Other Knowledge and Skills Experience in healthcare analytics (e.g., Allscripts/Veradigm). Knowledge of healthcare quality metrics, UDS reporting, or population health. Familiarity with Azure Data Services, Power Platform, or data warehousing concepts. Experience with scripting languages (Python, R). Understanding of HIPAA compliance and data privacy standards.
