The Business Intelligence Specialist creates and shall be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable enterprise BI and data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and strategic decision-making. This role requires expertise in
SQL, ETL
development, data engineering, data architecting, scripting, ERP Data and ERP Data Architecture, and modern BI visualization tools. The candidate will collaborate closely with global teams, including U.S. and offshore teams, and will serve as a key liaison to ensure effective communication, requirement gathering, and delivery alignment across regions. This role manages and implement the data governance requirements effectively without hampering data access.
Summary of Duties:
1. Design, Develop, Optimize and maintain data marts using advanced SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects. 2. Design, implement, and maintain ETL pipelines using tools such as SSIS, Alteryx, Informatica, or similar platforms. (DataIku is a plus !) 3. Develop and support automation scripts using Shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent. 4. Ensure data accuracy, reliability, and integrity across data ingestion, transformation, and delivery processes. 5. Build and manage datasets, semantic models, and analytical data structures for reporting and analytics. 6. including fact tables, dimension tables, staging layers, and metadata. 7. Develop reports and interactive dashboards using AWS Quicksight, Power BI, Tableau, or similar BI tools. 8. Translate business requirements into data models and visualizations that support clear, meaningful insights. 9. Experience working with AWS data services (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, Lambda) to build and support cloud-based data workflows. 10. Assist with integration between cloud, on premises systems, and third-party data sources. 11. Coordinate development tasks with offshore teams, ensuring clarity of requirements and on-time delivery. 12. Act as the liaison between Global business stakeholders and development teams 13. Understand business needs, gather detailed requirements, and translate them into clear technical specifications. 14. Communicate expectations, timelines, and deliverables to offshore teams in a structured manner. 15. Maintain strong professional relationships across time zones and functional areas to support smooth project execution. 16. Lead BI Projects on functional and technical level/aspect. 17. Mentor and Assist BI team members on Business Data, BI Process, BI functional and technical topics.
Job Requirements Computer Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. Minimum 6-8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or related technical fields. Expert-level SQL skills, including performance tuning and complex query development. Hands-on experience with one or more ETL tools (SSIS, Alteryx, Informatica, etc.). Strong understanding of data warehousing principles, dimensional modeling, and schema design. Experience building datasets, semantic layers, and scalable BI data solutions. Proficiency with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau. Experience with AWS cloud technologies used in data storage, transformation, and analytics. Programming/scripting experience, including Shell scripting, PowerShell, Python, or equivalent. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact with technical and non technical stakeholders. Ability to work with cross-functional and global teams in a collaborative environment.
