BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE ARCHITECT
- Abbott Laboratories / Lake County, IL Lead design and development of analytics platform products and solutions, within the constraints of human and financial resources and changing priorities. Provide technical expertise on Kubernetes containerized application automation and SAP modules, applications and related tools, including
SAP ECC, SAP HANA, SAP S4HANA, SAP BW, SAP BW/4HANA, SAP
Business Objects (BOBJ), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP
ABAP, SAP
Business Intelligence (BI) Security, and SAP Landscape Transformation (SAP SLT), SAP Data Intelligence, SAP Datasphere, SAP Integration Suite, Databricks, Power BI, and Microsoft Azure Data Factory. Leverage advanced programming techniques such as Python script to develop predictive models. Provide cross-functional business analytics architecture and insight on Commercial (Order-to-Cash), Supply Chain Execution & Planning, Procurement, and Finance functionality. Design, develop, and maintain a scalable enterprise level analytics architecture that supports cross functional analytics and business intelligence. Identify opportunities to balance innovation with cost optimization in ways that will add value to organization. Identify and resolve gaps within areas of architectural complexity by proposing effective remediations. Drive the ways in which analytics can be made future-ready and can deliver greater business impact than it does today. Identify and resolve issues that impact project delivery through diagnosing, isolating, and debugging technology issues. Ensure high quality adherence to standards and best practices, high performance and scalable, repeatable processes and deliverables in accordance with company standards. Provide end-to-end implementation, support and enhancement of SAP Business Intelligence and
SAP HANA
applications. Provide implementation support for other analytics platforms such as Databricks and Snowflake. Explore working with cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform, to identify best fit for organizational needs. Develop and ensure design specifications and parameters that comply with architectural blueprints and technology standards. Translate business requirements into formal requirements and design documents, establishing specific solutions, building or programming, and testing. Create data models with attribute views, analysis views, and calculations views and SAP Business Objects Reports like Dashboard, and Advanced Analysis OLAP report. Apply Project Management (PM) knowledge to deliver mid-to-large scale projects within budget, scope, timeline, and quality. Build reports and dashboards to empower business experience and decision making. Provide technical and strategic vision for SAP and non-SAP applications to establish a strong business intelligence environment. Partner with key technology suppliers like SAP to ensure technology currency and reduce technical debt within the organization. Bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Systems/Technology, Electronics Engineering or in a related field of study with at least 10 years of progressive professional SAP enterprise resources planning (ERP) application and architecture experience. In the alternative, will accept a Master's or foreign equivalent degree with at least 8 years of professional SAP ERP application and architecture experience. Must possess at least 5 years of professional experience in: (i) SAP ERP modules and applications, including
SAP ECC, SAP HANA, SAP S4HANA, SAP BW, SAP
Business Objects (BOBJ), SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), SAP
ABAP, SAP
Business Intelligence (BI) Security, SAP Landscape Transformation (SAP SLT), and SAP Data Intelligence; (ii) providing end-to-end implementation, support and enhancement of SAP Business Intelligence and
SAP HANA
applications; (iii) developing predictive models using Python script; and (iv) translating business requirements into formal requirements and design documents, establishing specific solutions, building or programming, and testing. Must possess at least 3 years of experience in: (v) creating data models with attribute views, analysis views, and calculations views and SAP Business Objects Reports like Dashboard, and Advanced Analysis OLAP reports. Must possess at least 1 year of professional experience in: (vi) SAP Datasphere. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
