Job Description

Are you seeking experience at a company where you can grow your skills while helping to radically love and influence lives? Bell Lumber and Pole is seeking a motivated intern with a strong interest in data visualization and analytics to design and deliver impactful Power BI dashboards. This role offers hands-on experience working with real business data, modern data platforms, and emerging technologies, while contributing to a growing organization. This position will be located at our New Brighton, MN location.
Compensation:
$20.00 - $22.00 / hour
Schedule:
32 hours / week As a Power BI Intern, you will: Design and build Power BI dashboards and reports using curated datasets and pre-built semantic models Translate business requirements into clear, intuitive, and user-friendly visualizations Focus on creating clean, effective thin reports that sit on top of standardized data models Maintain and enhance reporting as underlying data models evolve Partner with IT and business stakeholders to improve data accessibility and usability Support the rollout and adoption of data and analytics tools across the organization Contribute to exploratory initiatives, including AI-driven and data-focused solutions
Qualifications:
Currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field Experience building dashboards in Power BI is required Strong understanding of data visualization best practices and report design Familiarity with SQL, Microsoft Fabric, and Lakehouses is a plus Basic understanding of data modeling or DAX is a plus Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Eagerness to learn and grow in a data-driven environment

Data models and core measures will be provided; this role focuses on report design and visualization
