$60-$68/hour Oracle Developer (Exadata) Overview We are seeking an experienced Oracle Developer to join a large-scale finance reporting initiative. This is a long-term, high-impact project focused on enhancing the accuracy, reliability, and performance of regulatory financial reporting systems. The program is a multi-year investment (approximately 5 years total, currently midway) with significant annual funding exceeding $100M. Project Environment Finance and regulatory reporting domain, working with data sourced from ledger systems Hybrid application landscape: Legacy Oracle Exadata platform (~20 years old) Modern greenfield application built on Oracle Technology stack includes Oracle Database (19c), PL/SQL, and integration components using Python and .NET Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain high-performance Oracle database solutions on Exadata Write, optimize, and maintain complex PL/SQL code (packages, procedures, functions) Perform advanced performance tuning and query optimization Support data processing and ingestion workflows for regulatory reporting Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and system reliability Contribute to modernization efforts and integration between legacy and new systems Required Qualifications Strong experience with Oracle Database 19c Advanced proficiency in PL/SQL development Demonstrated expertise in performance tuning and optimization Experience working in complex, large-scale data environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with Python, Linux, or .NET technologies Familiarity with applications featuring: Thin .NET UI layers Python-based data ingestion pipelines Understanding of financial systems or regulatory reporting environments Nice to Have Experience in the financial services industry Exposure to large enterprise data platforms and modernization initiatives About Matlen Silver Experience Matters.
