Sigma Developer Location:
Jersey City, NJ - 3 days/week onsite Job Description for Sigma Developer is: 5+ years of experience in cloud BI tools 2+ years of experience using Sigma is a must Strong understanding of Sigma data models, version controls, data app features Excellent understanding of data modelling concepts in general Strong knowledge of SQL and hands on experience with Snowflake Self starter who is able to see through a task independently Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills Knowledge to python and AWS services is a plus
Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Sigma Developer to join our client, The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining data analytics solutions using the Sigma platform. This role requires strong experience in data modeling, SQL, and business intelligence tools to support data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and develop dashboards, reports, and data models using Sigma. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and understand reporting requirements. Write and optimize complex SQL queries to support analytics needs. Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency across all reporting solutions. Integrate data from multiple sources, including cloud data warehouses. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data and reporting. Maintain documentation for data models, dashboards, and processes. Support ongoing enhancements and performance optimization of existing solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Sigma Developer or in a similar BI/analytics role. Strong proficiency in SQL and data modeling concepts. Experience working with cloud data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, Big Query). Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data pipelines. Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the financial services or investment banking domain. Familiarity with other BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). Knowledge of data governance and best practices. Experience working in Agile environments.
