Job Description

Onsite interview Oaks, PA Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise Power BI reporting and analytics solutions. Design scalable and high-performing semantic models using dimensional modeling best practices including star schemas, optimized relationships, and cardinality management. Develop visually compelling dashboards and advanced visualization solutions that provide actionable business insights. Support migration and coexistence initiatives involving SAP BusinessObjects (WebI, Universes) and Power BI. Analyze and translate SAP BO reports and semantic layers into optimized Power BI datasets and dashboards. Define and enforce Power BI governance standards, naming conventions, development frameworks, and performance optimization guidelines. Develop advanced DAX measures, calculated columns, and calculated tables while optimizing performance for large-scale datasets. Architect and implement advanced Power BI capabilities including: Aggregations Incremental Refresh Row-Level Security (RLS) Composite and Hybrid Models Dataflows Design and manage Power BI Deployment Pipelines across Development, QA/Test, and Production environments aligned with CI/CD and DevOps practices. Implement cloud-native BI solutions integrated with enterprise Data Warehouses and Lakehouse platforms. Work extensively with Microsoft Fabric components including: Lakehouse Integrations OneLake Direct Lake Notebooks Real-Time Intelligence Optimize data models using Import, DirectQuery, and Hybrid storage modes. Integrate Power BI with enterprise applications through REST APIs and embedded analytics solutions. Collaborate with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to align transformation layers, warehouse structures, and semantic models with reporting requirements. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance to Power BI developers and BI teams. Stay current with Power BI and Microsoft Fabric roadmap enhancements and evaluate new platform capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence and Analytics. 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI development and architecture.
Strong expertise in:
Semantic modeling and dataset design Advanced DAX development and performance tuning Aggregations and incremental refresh strategies Deployment pipelines and DevOps practices Power BI Service administration and governance Experience with SAP BusinessObjects (WebI, Universes). Strong understanding of dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT concepts. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure, Snowflake, or similar cloud platforms. Proficiency in SQL development and query performance optimization. Experience integrating Power BI with REST APIs and embedded analytics. Strong understanding of cloud-native architecture principles. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.
