Job Opportunity:
Salesforce Development Team Lead Contract-to-Hire | Hybrid - Long Island, NY (2-3 Days Onsite)
Overview:
Our client is seeking a Salesforce Development Team Lead to join their growing technology team as they continue investing in their core Salesforce platform. Salesforce sits at the heart of the business, supporting most customer and operational processes, with ongoing initiatives focused on platform modernization, automation, AI adoption, and bringing development capabilities in-house.
Role Purpose:
The Salesforce Development Team Lead will oversee a small team of Salesforce Developers, QA resources, and platform specialists while remaining hands-on with development, solution design, and platform strategy. Working closely with the CTO and technology leadership, this individual will help shape the Salesforce roadmap, drive best practices, and build a stronger internal engineering capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of 6-8 technical resources Manage delivery priorities, backlog planning, and development activities Drive enhancements across Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud, and Customer Community Cloud Oversee integrations and API connectivity Support AI-enabled automation and workflow optimization initiatives Participate in architecture discussions and technical solution design Help transition ownership from offshore development partners to the internal team Partner with leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals
Experience Requirements:
Experience leading small development teams while remaining hands-on Strong Salesforce platform expertise and Apex development experience Experience integrating Salesforce with third-party systems and APIs Understanding of modern application architectures and development practices Interest or experience in AI-driven solutions and automation Financial services experience is preferred, with lending experience considered a plus Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
