SAP Development Lead Day to Day job
Duties:
Lead and oversee daily SAP development activities across S/4HANA, RAP, Fiori, and SAP BTP workstreams. Act as the primary technical lead for a Greenfield S/4HANA program, guiding design, build, test, and deploy phases. Manage Master RICEFW Inventory/Backlog Review and approve technical designs, RAP service definitions, CDS models, and CAP-based architectures. Provide hands on development and troubleshooting for complex ABAP, RAP, CDS, AMDP, and CAPM scenarios. Collaborate with functional leads and architects to translate business requirements into scalable, clean core solutions and keep the master backlog updated Guide teams on side by side extension strategy using SAP BTP (Work Zone, RPA, Forms, CAP services). Oversee SAP Fiori/UI5 development and ensure consistent UX standards. Conduct code reviews, performance optimization, and quality assurance. Coordinate integration-efforts with SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, and other SAP SaaS applications.
Manage Agile execution:
Sprint planning and backlog refinement Track progress, risks, and defects using Jira Prepare & submit various Development deliverables per each phase of the project & Support key delivery milestones including cutover, go live, hypercare, and post go live optimization. Mentor and coach global/onshore/offshore development teams.
Basic Qualifications:

SAP Development Experience:
12+ years of overall SAP development experience. S/4
HANA Greenfield Implementations:
6+ years leading or delivering Greenfield S/4HANA implementations. ABAP on S/4
HANA:
8+ years of hands on ABAP development with S/4HANA optimization. RAP (RESTful ABAP Programming Model): 3+ years designing and building RAP based services and transactional scenarios.
CDS Views & OData:
5+ years creating analytical and transactional CDS views with annotations.
AMDP:
3+ years developing performance critical logic using
AMDP. SAP
Fiori/UI5: 5+ years delivering Fiori applications (including Fiori Elements / RAP based UIs).
SAP BTP:
4+ years working with SAP BTP services, including side by side extensibility. SAP Build Apps / Forms / Intelligent RPA / Automation or low code extensions / DevOps or CI/CD exposure in SAP BTP environments. CAPM (Cloud Application Programming Model): 3+ years building cloud native applications using CAP (Node.js or Java).
SAP Public Cloud Integration:
2+ years integration exposure with SAP Ariba, SuccessFactors, or similar SaaS products.
Agile Delivery & Jira:
4+ years working in Agile teams using Jira for sprint and defect tracking.
Leadership & Communication:
Proven experience leading development teams and managing technical stakeholders.
Integration:
Experience with SAP Integration Suite, API Management, or event mesh. Exposure to event driven or microservices architectures in SAP landscapes.
Travel:
This position requires someone who can travel at least 80%. Preferred location is East coast or Midwest.
Degree:
Bachelors in Computer Science or equivalent work experience Nice to Have; ( But not a must) Prior experience leading multi vendor, global delivery programs. Industry experience in manufacturing, life sciences. Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $150.00-$175.00/HOUR. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate's actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation based on individual and/or company performance. About
