Job Description

Arlington, VA with immediate opening for a full-time Backend BI Developer. AI is doing a lot of the front-end development and the Hiring Manager wants BI Developer stronger on the back end. Here's what the Hiring Manager is requiring:  4+ years in business intelligence development and data analytics, data modeling, transforming data, create data models  Medallion Architecture experience is required. (it is a data design framework that logically organizes data in a data lakehouse & progressively improves the structure, quality, and reliability of data as it flows through three stages: Bronze (raw), Silver (cleaned), and Gold (business-ready)  Star schema experience.  Must understand what the business users are trying to achieve and be able to ask the right questions to achieve desired outcome.  Microsoft Fabric experience.  Advanced skillset in Microsoft Power BI, Power Apps, Power Query, Power Automate. Tableau is also a technology to add and search  Mentorship experience and the ability to guide other BI developers through the BI project lifecycle When vetting candidates, please ask candidates what their greatest achievement/crown jewel project was, what was the ROI, what was the business impact, and why they took that technical approach. They may have to do a presentation of this during the interview. If there is an information / confidentiality issue, they may have to pull a project on line to discuss in the interviews.
