Job Description

Summary Under general direction of the Deputy Director, IT Service Delivery, this position will support the day-to-day operations and maintenance of ServiceNow platform. The general purpose of this ServiceNow Developer I is to develop and implement technical solutions within the ServiceNow platform to meet the organization's business needs. This includes creating workflows, writing scripts, integrating with other systems, and developing user interfaces as required. They also ensure the platform's performance and reliability, troubleshoot issues, and maintain system documentation..
Essential Functions:
Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for ServiceNow platform issues. Act as the initial resolver for incidents, problems, and catalog (request) tasks related to ServiceNow. Support general user inquiries on system usage such as (but not limited to) core ITSM modules, reporting, access and minor data changes. Work in ServiceNow s agile module to complete development work as assigned by the Deputy Director Develop requested functionality within the deployed modules (ITSM, , SPM, SecOps, Vulnerability Management, etc.). Follow defined Sound Transit s ServiceNow development guidelines Configure forms, fields, tables, and workflows using ServiceNow s built-in tools (e.g., Flow Designer, UI Policies, Catalog Items, etc.) Provide demos of developed functionality as needed. Deploy developed functionality following Sound Transit s change management process. Document any development work in assigned agile stories Capture resolution or closure notes in incidents, problems, and catalog (request) tasks. Work closely with IT Service Delivery to clarify any requirements or questions from day-to-day support or development work. Participate in daily sprint meetings to keep everyone up to date on work accomplished in the last day and what will be worked on in the coming day. Education & Experience 10+ years of ServiceNow development experience ServiceNow Certified System Administrator Certification Mandatory experience creating and development of catalog items, record producers and order guides on the ServiceNow Platform Development experience in one or more of the following desired: Strategic Portfolio Management (formerly IT Business Management) Governance, Risk, and Compliance Security Operations (Security Incident Response and/or Vulnerability Response)
