Overview of Job Duties:
This position is for the lead role of the quality systems management function in a high-end contract manufacturing organization specializing in grinding and metrology services primarily in the aerospace sector. The Quality Engineer is expected to perform a range of both administrative and technical tasks required to comply with AS9100 and additional customer requirements such as ASQR-01. In addition, the Chief Technical Officer may assign other non-recurring tasks and business support responsibilities. The successful candidate will be an experienced quality professional that must posses strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent digital management capabilities, time management and multi-tasking abilities. The ability to work in a small team environment is essential with maximum flexibility towards the organization's needs. Administrative Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining a list of contractual requirements
  • Maintaining the "QMS Dashboard"
  • Maintaining control of "Documented Information" such as procedures, work instructions, forms, and records
  • Preparing the agenda, scheduling, and reporting the quarterly "Management Review Meeting"
  • Conducting, analyzing, and reporting the results of the periodic "Customer Satisfaction Surveys"
  • Assisting in procurement and maintaining business software and maintenance of computer equipment through our IT partner to comply with cyber security requirements. Technical Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Performing inspection tasks as assigned by the Chief Technical Officer. SPC data management, PPAP file creation and the ongoing management of Process Control Plans and PFMEA's.
  • Maintaining the process for periodic calibration of inspection, measuring, and test equipment performed internally and by external suppliers to the organization.
  • Coordinating, conducting, and reporting findings on periodic internal Quality Management System audits.
  • Coordinating, supporting, and managing the required corrective action required by external audits
  • Maintaining the process for identification, segregation, and disposition of nonconforming material
  • Maintaining the processes for training of PGS' personnel.
Job Responsibilities With minimum supervision:
  • Conduct his/her activities at the highest level of responsiveness, personal integrity, and reliability
  • Communicate in a professional manner with members of the PGS staff
  • Maintain a satisfactory attendance and punctuality record Special Skill Requirements
  • Ability to create, update, proof, edit and control PGS procedures and work instructions and other documentation

$60,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
