Job Description

Emerald Transportation Solutions is looking for a Chassis Lead to be responsible in overseeing all chassis-related operations including receipt, inspection, documentation, inventory control, staging, and production readiness. This role ensures that all incoming chassis meet company quality standards and are properly processed through check-in, inspection, damage reporting, PDI, and staging before release to production. Plays a critical leadership role in maintaining operational flow, supporting compliance standards, and ensuring accurate inventory management within M1 ERP. This position directly impacts production timelines, supplier accountability, audit compliance, and overall manufacturing efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee receipt, check-in, and detailed inspection (including PDI) of all incoming chassis. Complete and document damage/inspection reports; red-tag and isolate non-conforming units. Maintain and manage the DFI Calendar. Receive OSS purchase orders and process chassis inventory accurately in M1 ERP. Maintain accurate inventory records, VIN assignments, and location tracking. Stage chassis for production and complete staging reports in alignment with build schedules. Coordinate with Production, Purchasing, and Scheduling to ensure operational flow. Support audits (Ally, Bellamy, BMO, year-end) and ensure documentation compliance. Lead and mentor receiving personnel while enforcing safety and quality standards.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in receiving, inspection, or inventory management roles, with a strong understanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations. Exceptional attention to detail and proficiency in using inventory management systems or software applications. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve excellence. Knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices related to chassis inspection and inventory management.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including chassis equipment, as needed. Comfort working in an outdoor environment and exposure to various weather conditions. Willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as required for safety.
