Job Description

The Electrified Powertrain Controls Engineer will serve as a technical leader within the PRC Electrified Propulsion Controls CoE, driving the development strategy, architecture, and delivery of advanced electrified powertrain systems.

The ideal candidate is a recognized expert in control systems with deep knowledge of electrified propulsion, capable of defining system-level strategies across multiple programs.

This role is responsible for defining control architectures, leading complex system integration, and driving innovation in areas such as torque coordination, energy optimization, thermal management, charging strategies, diagnostics, and advanced control approaches.

The most important activities assigned are:

Define control strategies and architecture at system/vehicle levelLead development and integration across multiple programs (STLA, BEV, REEV, HEV)Drive complex algorithm design and optimizationEnsure robustness through full V-cycle (MIL/SIL/HIL/vehicle)Lead resolution of critical issues and crisis situationsDefine standards, methods, and best practicesDrive innovation (advanced control, AI/optimization approaches)Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coachingInterface with leadership and global stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors' degree in relevant engineering fieldA minimum of 8 years of experience in controls/software engineeringRecognized expertise in propulsion control systemsProven leadership in delivering production systemsStrong influence across organizationsDeep expertise in electrified powertrain systems and architecturesAdvanced control theory and system optimizationExpert-level model-based development and embedded softwareEnd-to-end V-cycle ownershipExtensive experience with validation, calibration, and diagnosticsStrong system integration and vehicle-level performance understandingSoft and Leadership SkillsTechnical authority and decision-making capabilityAbility to lead global, cross-functional teamsStrong executive communication and reportingAbility to lead crisis resolution and production issuesStrategic thinking and roadmap definition
Preferred Qualifications:
