Job Description

Senior Transformation Initiative Specialist - Enterprise Transformation Office (Kansas City) Burns & McDonnell - 3.6 Kansas City, MO Job Details Full-time 11 hours ago Qualifications Stakeholder management Full Job Description Description The Senior Transformation Initiative Specialist bridges strategy execution and sustained business adoption—ensuring that transformation initiatives are not only delivered but successfully activated and embedded within the business. Distinct from traditional change management, this role focuses on operational readiness, business activation, and measurable adoption outcomes. Develop and institutionalize a standardized Business Readiness framework utilized across all transformation initiatives. Embed readiness milestones and criteria into transformation governance and stage-gate processes. Establish enterprise-wide readiness tools, templates, metrics, and reporting standards. Ensure alignment of readiness planning across Global Practices, Regions, COR functions, and Blue Horizon initiatives. Design, establish, and lead a formal Business Readiness Network composed of designated representatives from various parts of the organization. Define clear roles, expectations, and accountability for network members. Provide training, tools, and enablement to ensure consistent readiness execution. Utilize the network to drive impact assessment, risk identification, stakeholder alignment, and adoption monitoring. Ensure the network operates as a sustainable enterprise capability across all implementations. Serve as the primary linkage between GPs, Regions, COR, and implementation teams. Surface and coordinate cross-practice, cross-regional, and cross-functional impacts. Align leaders on readiness expectations, sequencing, dependencies, and risk mitigation. Ensure people, processes, systems, structures, and capacity are fully prepared for go-live. Validate downstream operational impacts and mitigation plans. Coordinate role clarity, workflow adjustments, performance expectations, and capacity planning. Align training strategies to operational readiness requirements—not solely system enablement. Ensure leadership and frontline teams are prepared to execute new processes and behaviors. Leverage the Readiness Network to deploy consistent activation support across the enterprise. Establish measurable readiness criteria and scorecards. Facilitate structured readiness reviews and risk escalation processes. Provide data-driven recommendations to executive sponsors for go/no-go launch decisions. Monitor early adoption, operational stability, and performance outcomes. Mobilize the network to address gaps and reinforce sustained adoption. Capture lessons learned and continuously improve the enterprise readiness model. Prepare the business to sustain long-term metric ownership and executive insight beyond go-live. Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff. Responsible for QA/QC process adherence. Responsible for compliance with company and site safety policies. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, organizational leadership, engineering, or related field and 8 years of experience in transformation, operations, enterprise implementation, or organizational effectiveness required. Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional initiatives across complex, matrixed organizations. Experience building and leading networks or communities of practice. Strong executive communication and stakeholder alignment skills. Experience within professional services, engineering, or matrixed enterprise environment preferred. Familiarity with transformation governance and stage-gate processes preferred. Certification or formal training in change management, program management, or organizational design preferred. This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled.
