Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Chief Information Officer (CIO) to lead our organization's technology strategy and digital transformation initiatives. The CIO will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, driving innovation, ensuring robust IT infrastructure, and aligning technology goals with business objectives. Responsibilities Develop and execute comprehensive IT strategies that support organizational growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage. Lead the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-wide IT infrastructure, including cloud computing platforms such as AWS and Azure, WAN networks, distributed systems, and cybersecurity frameworks. Oversee software development projects utilizing technologies like React, Angular, Node.js, C#, Java, Python, PHP, SQL, Oracle, MongoDB, and Microsoft SQL Server to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business needs. Drive enterprise cybersecurity initiatives by establishing policies based on NIST standards and ISO guidelines; manage risk assessments, disaster recovery plans, business continuity planning, and FISMA compliance. Manage IT budgets effectively while negotiating vendor contracts for hardware, software licenses (including PCI compliance), cloud services, firewalls, and other critical infrastructure components. Lead cross-functional teams in adopting Agile methodologies and DevOps practices to accelerate project delivery while maintaining high quality standards through the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle). Promote a culture of innovation by integrating AI and machine learning solutions such as natural language processing and predictive analytics into business processes. Ensure adherence to IT governance frameworks like ITIL; oversee system design for ERP systems and API integrations to optimize enterprise operations. Foster leadership development within the IT department by mentoring senior staff and cultivating a collaborative environment focused on continuous learning and strategic planning. Experience Proven experience in senior IT management roles with extensive knowledge of computer networking—including WANs—and cloud infrastructure management across platforms like AWS and Azure. Demonstrated expertise in software development using languages such as JavaScript (React, Angular), C#, Java, Python; familiarity with application development frameworks including .NET and Node.js. Strong background in cybersecurity practices aligned with NIST standards; experience managing firewalls, encryption protocols, FISMA compliance efforts, and disaster recovery strategies. Hands-on experience with business intelligence tools; proficiency in analyzing data using SQL, Oracle databases, MongoDB; expertise in implementing AI-driven solutions for operational insights. Skilled in strategic planning with a focus on IT governance frameworks like ISO standards; adept at managing large-scale projects utilizing Agile methodologies within complex organizational structures. Exceptional leadership capabilities demonstrated through team management of diverse technical groups; effective negotiation skills for vendor relations; ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to executive stakeholders.
