This is a hands-on leadership role at the intersection of technology and performance marketing - you will oversee the systems, vendors, and data infrastructure that power lead generation, distribution, conversion tracking, and cost optimization. This role does not carry a sales quota; success is measured by team output, system performance, and lead economics. Key Responsibilities Lead Management & Technology Own and evolve the end-to-end lead management platform, including acquisition, routing, distribution, and disposition Manage integrations with lead vendors, affiliate networks, and third-party data providers Build and maintain real-time lead tracking systems to monitor volume, quality, conversion rates, and CPA across channels Oversee lead scoring, validation, and filtering logic to maximize quality and minimize waste Ensure lead data flows reliably across CRM, dialer, and downstream systems Performance & Analytics Design and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure for conversion tracking, CPA, CPL, and ROI by source Partner with operations and marketing teams to analyze lead funnel performance and identify optimization opportunities Implement A/B testing frameworks to evaluate lead sources, landing pages, and distribution strategies Establish data governance standards and ensure accuracy across all performance reporting Engineering Leadership Lead, mentor, and grow a team of engineers across backend, data, and integrations Drive the technology roadmap in alignment with company strategy and operational needs Establish engineering processes, code quality standards, and deployment practices Own architecture decisions to ensure scalability, uptime, and security of all systems Report technology health, risks, and roadmap progress to the CEO and executive team What We're Looking For 10+ years in software engineering; 5+ years in a senior engineering leadership role Hands-on experience with lead management platforms, CRM systems, and marketing tech stacks Deep familiarity with lead vendor management, affiliate networks, and API-based integrations Proven ability to build conversion tracking and attribution systems (CPA, CPL, LTV modeling) Strong background in data engineering, analytics pipelines, and real-time reporting Experience managing engineering managers and scaling teams in a high-growth environment Excellent communicator who can bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders What This Role Is Not This role does not involve direct sales, managing customer accounts, or carrying a revenue quota. The CTO's accountability is to the technology organization and the systems that enable performance - not to closing deals or managing client relationships.
