Occasional travel to Seattle, WA may be required based on client and project needs About the Opportunity Optimize Management Group is seeking an experienced Project Leader to support a potential operational excellence transformation engagement for a leading public research university. The selected consultant will provide executive-level leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic oversight for a complex, multi-year initiative focused on operational effectiveness, shared services, organizational transformation, and institutional performance improvement. Responsibilities Provide overall engagement leadership and executive stakeholder management Serve as the primary relationship manager with university leadership Guide strategic direction, work planning, and delivery oversight Facilitate executive workshops and decision-making sessions Coordinate cross-functional consulting teams Ensure successful delivery of project objectives and recommendations Qualifications 15+ years of consulting, operational excellence, transformation, or executive leadership experience Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives within higher education or similarly complex organizations Experience working with executive leadership teams Strong facilitation, governance, and change leadership capabilities Experience managing multi-workstream consulting engagements Engagement Details Independent Contractor / Consulting Engagement Project-based; contingent upon contract award Competitive compensation based on experience
