SummerFest Work Week

Volunteers keep the Trail alive! Join the Piedmont Appalachian Trail Hikers (PATH) for their SummerFest Work Week - and bring the family! Trail work projects will take place daily from Wednesday, June 17 through Sunday, June 21 . Come for one day or several! Beginners welcome. Each work day will start with breakfast at 8 am, followed by a safety briefing at 8:30 am, and then volunteers will head out to work sites. Bring your lunches (we will have coolers for refrigerated items), your medications, 2 liters of water, covered toe shoes, long pants, and work gloves. PATH will provide the tools. We will be working on projects around the Settlers Museum property and general maintenance from Crawfish Valley to Teas Road and possibly on other PATH sections. We will be under the cover of their large pavilion for meals as well as for general meetings, safety briefings, meal preparation, and socializing (singalongs, beanbag toss, etc.). You can bring your camper or your tent/hammock, as well as all camping supplies. There is potable water and inside flush toilets are available. Showers are available at nearby hostels.
