Full Job Description Overview:
Responsible for the delivery of business intelligence solutions across the enterprise. Manages deployment, maintenance, and support of data access tools and reports.
Responsibilities:
Works with Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence (DW/BI) Architect to tune and modify backend Business Intelligence environment. Participates in enterprise DW/BI strategy. Assists ETL Developer with strategy and SSIS programming. Responsible for the business intelligence reporting software. Assists end users with reporting tools. Schedules and sets up standard reports. Coordinates and/or attends all assigned project related meetings. Trains users on data access tools. Analyzes data issues through SQL Server. Liaison with IT, end users, vendors, and contractors. Performs other duties as assigned.
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with other coordination of reporting efforts to reduce unnecessary duplication of reporting and promotes consistent use and interpretation of data elements. Assists in the development and maintenance of standards and methodologies for various types of reports to promote consistency in data reporting and analysis. Participates in special projects and assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field; minimum four (4) years systems analysis experience with experience in medical information systems; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience with health care data is preferred. Special Skills, Licenses and Certifications Knowledge of databases (SQL Server, Business Objects, Access, SSIS, normalization, queries, views). Some knowledge of Oracle and Oracle programming methodologies. Knowledge of data warehousing, data marts, OLAP, ROLAP, MOLAP, etc. Ability to move data between systems as needed, effortlessly. High standards for data presentation. Significant knowledge of PCs, Windows 2000, and related applications. Understanding of systems and related system interfaces, and how changes impact various systems. Performance Based Competencies Effective written and oral communication skills and ability to assist others in defining their needs in a collaborative, tactful manner. Demonstrated aptitude for acquiring new technical skills in data reporting. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to work on multiple projects and assignments simultaneously and meet deadlines. Work Environment And Physical Demands Standard cubicle within a shared common area. Ability to use a PC with standard software packages. More than 50% of work in spent in front of a computer monitor. When required, ability to move, carry, and/or lift objects of varying sizes, weighing up to 25 lbs. Must be able to operate a vehicle for company business.
