Role:
The Financial Programmer is an integral part of Latham's Technology & Information Services team. This role will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining financial and accounting applications for firmwide use, while participating in consultations with financial development, project management, and finance/accounting team members regarding system requirements and functionality. This role will be located in our Global Services Office in Downtown Los Angeles. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
Other key responsibilities include: Designing and developing recommended solutions to financial application and reporting issues Coding, testing, and debugging financial application systems and reporting solutions according to specifications Producing prototypes during various stages of development as required Assisting with the testing, documentation, and maintenance of financial applications and financial reporting Maintaining financial applications and reporting solutions after implementation including user support and software upgrades Protecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retains We'd love to hear from you if you: Demonstrate strong knowledge and proficiency in a wide variety of software programs, including Windows and Microsoft Office Exhibit proficiency with reporting tools (e.g., Active Reports, Business Objects, Tableau) Possess strong verbal and written communication skills And have: A Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Accounting/Finance, or related field A minimum of three (3) years' experience with financial systems and applications development A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the development of financial applications in web, client server, and n-tiered environments using C#, ASP.NET Core, MVC, VB.NET, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, bootstrap, Ajax, and JQuery, preferably Strong experience using relational databases (e.g., SQL), preferably Experience with data modeling, customization and data conversion, preferably Experience with Elite or 3E Billing and Financial Management System, preferably Experience with 3E IDE, preferably
