You will leverage your expertise in Zeiss Calypso software to drive process efficiency and provide critical insights that directly impact manufacturing success and product conformity. Responsibilities Architect and optimize sophisticated Calypso inspection routines for Zeiss CMM platforms to ensure maximum throughput. Translate complex 3D CAD data and engineering specifications into precise, automated measurement programs. Act as the primary technical resource for GD&T interpretation, guiding cross-functional teams through tolerance stack-up analysis and functional inspection strategies. Drive continuous improvement by refining inspection cycles, enhancing repeatability, and implementing advanced reporting automation. Conduct root cause analysis on dimensional nonconformances, partnering with engineering to optimize part design for manufacturability. Mentor junior staff on metrology best practices, calibration strategies, and advanced measurement system analysis (MSA). Maintain hardware and software integrity, troubleshooting probing, fixturing, and system-level issues to minimize production downtime. Qualifications Required Skills Extensive experience in CMM programming within a high-precision manufacturing environment. Deep mastery of
ASME Y14.5 GD&T
standards and their practical application. Proven track record of inspecting tight-tolerance components for demanding industries like aerospace or medical devices. Strong analytical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex measurement challenges. Proficiency in reading and interpreting intricate engineering drawings and CAD models. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Preferred Skills Bachelor's or Associate's degree in a technical field such as Engineering or Metrology. Familiarity with quality management systems like
AS9100, ISO
9001, or
ISO 13485.
Experience with offline programming, robotics, or optical scanning technologies. Background in statistical process control (SPC) and Gage R&R methodologies.
