= Onsite Contractor Responsibilities. a. Systems Software Programmer Task List. The Contractor, through the Contractor Representative it provides, shall perform the following tasks as necessary to complete work for the Client as assigned by the
Department's Contract Manager:
1. Responsible for the analysis, development, modification, installation, testing, and maintenance of operating systems software. 3. Evaluate vendor-supplied software packages and make recommendations to IT management. 4. Modifies and/or debugs vendor-supplied utilities and packages. 5. Modifies, installs, and prepares technical documentation for system software applications. 6. Diagnoses, isolates, and de-bugs software problems and performs problem resolution. 7. Monitors systems capacity and performance, plans, and executes disaster recovery procedures, and provides Tier 2 technical support. Mandatory Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience. A minimum of four (4) years of IT work experience in systems administration and programming. "Experience in analysis, development, modification, installation, testing and maintenance of operating systems software. " Experience in understanding of systems programming, graphical user interfaces and control languages. Experience evaluating vendor supplied software packages and makes recommendations to IT management. Experience modifying and/or debugging vendor-supplied utilities and packages. Experience modifying, installing and preparing technical documentation for system software applications. Experience diagnosing, isolating and de-bugging software problems and performs problem resolution. Experience in an IBM z/OS enterprise environment monitoring systems capacity and performance, planning and executing disaster recovery procedures providing Tier 2 technical support. Excellent communication and documentation skills in the English language. Preferred Qualifications Able to work onsite in Tallahassee, Florida. Experience in full IBM mainframe technology refresh and upgrade projects, Hardware Management Console (HMC) configuration, Initial Program Load (IPL) activities, and system performance monitoring. Experience in DFSMS configuration, HSM and CA-Disk backup/recovery administration, BlueZone 3270 terminal emulation, and EMC disk and tape storage management in high-availability environments.
