Job Description

Location:
Travel to Indiana (USA) & Ontario (Canada) Preferred location of candidate: - This is negotiable. Only need them in the plant in Indiana or Canada. So, if they are going to only work at one facility, they can stay locally. Or drive/fly to and from every weekend. We will provide expenses for days worked only.
Typical Schedule:
Travel Friday 12-hour shifts Saturday & Sunday Travel home Monday - Startup support then travel home Monday Overview We are seeking a hands-on Robot Programmer to support automation projects across multiple plant locations in North America. This role will focus on robot programming, system integration, and on-site support within automotive manufacturing environments. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, field-based role and enjoys working directly on robotic systems, launches, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities Program, configure, and support industrial robots, with a strong focus on Yaskawa (Motoman) systems Support robotic applications including: Weld and material handling processes Assist with equipment commissioning, debugging, and line support during launches Support light machine build activities, including end-of-arm tooling (EOAT / end effectors) Work closely with Engineering and Project Managers to execute project-specific tasks Provide on-site field service support, troubleshooting robotic and automation systems Interface with customers and suppliers to support project delivery and maintain strong working relationships Required Qualifications Proven experience programming Yaskawa / Motoman robots (required) Hands-on experience with at least one additional platform: Fanuc

Experience in robotic processing applications, such as: Sealing / dispense Welding Material handling Background in automotive manufacturing (Client experience highly preferred) Strong troubleshooting and debugging experience in live production environments Ability to work independently in a field-based, travel-heavy role for international travel (US/Canada) Preferred Qualifications Experience with automotive OEMs Familiarity with: Body Shop Welding applications Vision systems (Cognex, Sony, etc.) PLCs (Rockwell, Siemens, Mitsubishi) Experience with: Robot I/O configuration (DeviceNet, Ethernet) Tool/User frame setup Cycle time optimization Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems What We're Looking For Self-motivated and able to stay on task in a fast-paced environment Comfortable working long shifts during critical project phases Strong problem-solving mindset and hands-on troubleshooting ability Team-oriented, but able to work independently on-site
Pay:
$60.00 - $70.00 per hour
