Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Wire EDM Programmer/Operator for the 2nd shift to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating Wire Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) equipment to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery and contribute to high-precision manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment. Work Schedule Monday - Thursday (3:30 p.m. - 2:00 a.m. ) Must be willing to work overtime as needed. Responsibilities Program Wire EDM machines using CAD/CAM software. Set up and operate Wire EDM equipment, including material alignment, fixturing, and wire threading. Interpret technical blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) requirements. Select appropriate cutting conditions (feeds, speeds, flushing, offsets). Monitor machine performance and adjust programs to optimize efficiency and accuracy. Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators) Maintain proper documentation of programs, setups, and inspection results. Monitor machine performance and adjust programs to optimize efficiency and accuracy. Troubleshoot issues such as wire breaks, taper inaccuracies, or surface finish problems. Perform routine maintenance to ensure machines are operating correctly. Collaborate with engineering and tooling teams to improve processes. Qualifications 5+ years of Wire EDM programming and operating experience. Proficiency with CAD/CAM software. Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T. Experience working with tight tolerances. Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming issues. Demonstrated skill in working with a variety of hand tools. Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
