Your responsibilitiesJob SummaryProvide programming support to the production floor. Ensure that all products being run on a CNC machine have the necessary program and that it is accurate. Perform duties in a safe and reliable manner.
Update, repair, modify, and expand existing programs to enhance efficiency or to adapt to new production requirementsEvaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part.
Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies by collaborating with supervisors and machinists to troubleshoot and improve program and production processesConfer with users to gain understanding of needed changes or modifications of existing programs.
Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls.
Develop and maintain tooling and equipment inventory list.
Ensure programs have the appropriate tooling lists, process plans, and appropriate job aids for efficient and safe processing.
Setting up CNC machines, including loading raw materials and running programs, conducting test runs to ensure a successful operation and conformance to customers specifications and printsOther tasks as needed by management.
Assist in any shop floor planning activitiesKeep assigned areas cleanAssist in activities related to quality and lean, when requested.
Proven work experience as a CNC ProgrammerAbility to read and interpret technical blueprintsStrong knowledge of CNC programming and machine operationSkilled in the use of measurement tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers)A eye for detail and precisionExcellent problem-solving skills

Meets TKMNA Employee Attributes/Competencies Minimum Requirements:
2+ years related experience.Proven work experience as a CNC ProgrammerAbility to read and interpret technical blueprintsStrong knowledge of CNC programming and machine operationSkilled in the use of measurement tools (e.g. calipers, micrometers)A eye for detail and precisionExcellent problem-solving skills
Preferred Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline or equivalent.5+ years of experience.
- Must be proficient in programming language, such as COBOL and Prolog.
- Advanced object-oriented languages, such as Java, C++, or ACTOR.
