At MCF, we value hard work, teamwork, and a willingness to take on new opportunities and experiences with a wide variety of industries, projects, and skillsets Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CAD Drafter Programmer to join our innovative fabricating team. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) and programming to develop precise technical drawings, schematics, and CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs that drive our machining processes. Your mechanical knowledge and proficiency with industry-standard software will be essential in translating concepts into manufacturable components. Duties This position is responsible for creating or analyzing technical drawings to generate programs to produce parts on automatic laser cutting and bending tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
include but are not limited to: Conveys design specifications with operators, determines specific requirements, special requests and confirmation of required materials. Analyze or create blueprints, technical drawings and schematics to determine finished project dimensions, cut alignment, and quality of cut pathing. Create or convert parts to 3-D CAD and program for machines. Ensures materials are appropriate for the given project Work with technicians to troubleshoot software issues. Orders consumables and parts for the machine. Maintains compliance with established safety policies and completes required safety training. Continuing education and training Satisfactory attendance is an essential function of this position.

include but are not limited to: Periodically interact with customers for parts, orders, pick-ups, or questions. Order materials and parts for jobs.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proactive and self-motivated, with a high attention to detail and follow-through. Good communication skills Strong ability to work with fellow employees on a team to complete a project. Computer skills (SolidWorks or Inventor and basic Microsoft Office Programs) Good organizational skills Good problem-solving Skills Mechanical aptitude Basic math skills Progressive Learning skills to include, following instructions, retaining and applying the new skills and processes. Be able to critically think through fabrication of custom designs
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED Post high school education in drafting and/or programming Previous experience using CNC equipment
