Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Material Processing Programmer to oversee the digital workflow for our industrial saw operations. In this role, you will transform engineering blueprints into high-efficiency machine code, ensuring that every cut is precise and material waste is kept to a minimum. You will be the technical link between our design, procurement, scheduling team, and the shop floor, ensuring production stays on schedule and meets our quality standards.
Key Responsibilities Programming & Nesting:
Create and optimize CNC programs for laser cutting (plate or tube) and automated saws using CAD/CAM software. Raptor Program forSaws Efficiency Management :
Utilize advanced nesting techniques to maximize material yield and reduce scrap costs.Technical Interpretation :
Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models to determine the most efficient cutting sequence and tool paths.Machine Coordination :
Select appropriate machine parameters, including gas pressures, nozzle types, feed rates, and blade speeds based on material specs.Process Improvemen t:
Identify opportunities to reduce cycle times and improve edge quality through program adjustments.Machine Operation :
Assist with machine operations as required Compensation The starting pay range for this position is $21-26 per hour. Final compensation will depend on various factors including: skills, experience, and location. Solid understanding of metal properties and how they react to cutting and sawing processes Preferred Skills Proficiency in CAD/CAM platforms (e.g., ProNEST, AutoCAD, Inventor, Vault Pro, or Raptor) Basic email and spreadsheet functions Experience with specific brands like Amada, Trumpf, Bystronic, or Mazak Forklift certification or experience with overhead cranes for material handling Background in Lean Manufacturing or 5S environmentsTraits of Our Successful Employees Embrace Core Values:
