We have opportunities for individuals seeking meaningful work in providing administrative, business and information technology services to the Missouri courts. We are recruiting to fill an Application Support Technician position to support software including installing, configuring, testing, monitoring and troubleshooting applications. Responsibilities include the application security process, user setup, role privilege definition, assignment and security permissions and overseeing the installation and/or upgrade of software package releases. This position develops scripting code (e.g. SQL batch file, Perl) at a limited compatibly. Responsibilities - What you'll do Updates standards, policies, procedures, guidelines and technical manuals as directed Assists with installing, maintaining, defining, organizing, controlling and protecting software products Assists with creating, monitoring, and modifying components and programs that support, maintain, and generate information from a various applications Assists with defining, organizing, controlling and protecting software applications Qualifications - All you need for success Minimum qualifications Associates degree from an accredited college or university with at least 15 semester hours in computer science, computer information systems or closely related areas and 2 years of experience in application support or software systems development. Additional experience above the minimum stated may be substituted on a year for year basis for the required education. Preferred qualifications Working knowledge of the principles of computer programming and systems analysis, design, testing and documentation Working knowledge of computer security systems and procedures Working knowledge of computer networking and telecommunications Ability to analyze policies, procedures and operations, organize their component parts into system specifications, databases and/or programs and adapt them to an automated system Job Details - More reasons to love this position The State of Missouri offers an excellent benefits package that includes a defined pension plan, generous amounts of leave and holiday time, and eligibility for health insurance coverage.
