Scientific Programmer University of Nebraska - 4.2 Lincoln, NE Job Details Full-time From $55,450 a year 1 day ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance Paid time off Parental leave Vision insurance Life insurance Retirement plan Qualifications Report writing Bachelor's degree Algorithm design Research data analysis Full Job Description As a Scientific Programmer, you will: Develop and extend the core computational infrastructure that underpins a multi-scale immune digital twin ecosystem and platform. Collaborate closely with product leadership to translate near-, mid-, and long-term roadmap requirements (3-6 months and 18 months) into clear technical specifications Partner with the platform engineering team to implement backend simulation capabilities that enable automated testing, validation, and benchmarking of mechanistic submodels Play a key role in enabling seamless integration of the core framework into a broader research and platform environment, ensuring robustness, scalability, and maintainability as the infrastructure evolves to support research, translational, and educational use cases Prepare text and images for manuscript and publication submissions. Prepare detailed documentation, user guides and training materials for the use of developed simulation tools.

Experience with programming in Python, Matlab, or R. Experience with designing scientific algorithms. Experience with advanced and skilled research procedures, including advanced data collection, analysis, and report writing skills. Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred, but not required: Experience in technical scientific software development and multiscale biophysics modeling.
