Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Alphacam Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) programs using Alphacam software to ensure precise and efficient fabrication of custom components. Your expertise will directly contribute to streamlining production processes, reducing waste, and enhancing overall product quality. Duties Develop and modify CNC programs using Alphacam software to support various machining operations on CNC milling machines, lathes, and other equipment Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints, ensuring accurate translation into CNC code Optimize tool paths and machining strategies to improve efficiency, reduce cycle times, and maintain high-quality standards Set up and troubleshoot CNC machines, including Fanuc controls and other automation systems, to ensure smooth operation Conduct precision measurements using calipers, bore gauges, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other tools to verify component accuracy against specifications Maintain detailed documentation of programs, tooling setups, and process parameters for continuous improvement initiatives such as Lean manufacturing practices Support electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes by programming and adjusting machines for intricate component fabrication Requirements Proven experience in CNC programming with Alphacam software in a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for interpreting technical drawings Extensive understanding of machining processes including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) techniques Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), schematics, blueprints reading, and precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines Proficiency in CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming and toolpath optimization for various materials and tooling setups Familiarity with Fanuc controls or similar CNC control systems is highly desirable Ability to apply lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste Strong math skills with the ability to perform complex calculations related to geometry and machining tolerances Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in a fast-paced production setting Join us if you're eager to leverage your technical expertise in a vibrant environment that values innovation, precision, and continuous improvement!
