Job Title:
CAD/CAM Programmer Job Description As a CAD/CAM Programmer, you will be responsible for programming CNC equipment using Mastercam and utilizing 3D CAD software to interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications. You will develop machining processes and create tool paths to transform raw materials into finished parts, handling up to 300 dimensions with tight tolerances. Responsibilities Program CNC equipment using Mastercam (required). Utilize 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks. Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications. Develop machining processes and create tool paths from raw material to finished part. Handle parts with up to 300 dimensions, requiring tight tolerances. Apply knowledge of milling, turning, and general machining practices. Select and optimize cutting tools for various operations. Continuously improve programs to reduce scrap and rework. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to support NPI efforts. Essential Skills Proficiency in Mastercam. Experience in CNC programming and CAD/CAM. Ability to create tool paths and interpret GD&T. Strong background in precision machining. Skill in interpreting 2D blueprints and 3D models. Additional Skills & Qualifications 3D modeling experience with any CAD package. Experience in a machining environment using mills, lathes, and turning machines. Familiarity with machining metal parts with multiple dimensions. Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and aerospace industry practices. Work Environment This role requires an even split between the manufacturing floor and a computer/desk. The shop is equipped with extensive capital equipment, primarily CNCs, offering precision machining capabilities and a variety of tools for customization of machined parts. The position involves offline programming and subsequent validation and testing of G-Code on the manufacturing floor. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Stow, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $50.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
