Backed by VC capital and exclusive industry partnerships, we're scaling from a single product into a portfolio of robotic systems that work together to create autonomous moving work zones. Required 5+ years of experience programming industrial robots and control systems used in real production environments Deep hands‑on experience with FANUC robots , including: Advanced motion programming, Line tracking, Vision‑guided execution, DCS or equivalent safety systems, Fault handling and recovery, KAREL Comfort owning PLC logic that supports robot‑centric systems Current software/hardware stack is Allen Bradley, Beckhoff TwinCAT, and FANUC. Strong systems‑level thinking: You care about safety, reliability, and unattended operation + You design software so the next engineer can understand it Ability to debug issues that cross boundaries (robot, PLC, vision, electrical, mechanical) Currently using AI to write code, debug, and solve problems. Nice to Have Experience consuming vision data and debugging vision/robot alignment Familiarity with Beckhoff TwinCAT, structured text, or PC‑based control architectures Experience working on mobile, outdoor, or harsh‑environment automation Exposure to autonomy‑adjacent systems (robotics, perception, or AI‑enabled workflows) If you've shipped reliable robotic systems but don't check every box, we still want to talk. What You'll Be Doing You will be the Controls Owner for RMV's robotic systems, responsible for how vision data turns into safe, repeatable robot motion in the real world. Core Responsibilities Own and improve FANUC robot programs used on RMV vehicles, including: Line tracking, Vision‑driven path execution, KAREL‑based logic where appropriate, Fault handling, recovery, and unattended operation Design and maintain the controls architecture that ties together: Robot controller, PLC / IPC, Vision system data, HMIs, safety systems, and field I/O Ensure the system is safe by design , including:FANUC DCS
configuration, Interlocks, E‑stops, work‑zone enforcement, Clear fault states and operator recovery paths Work closely with the vision engineering team to: Consume vision data over Ethernet/IP (or equivalent), Debug timing, alignment, and calibration issues, Eliminate calibration as a bottleneck Improve system reliability through: Better diagnostics and fault messages, Robust recovery behavior, Clear, maintainable program structure Support local commissioning, R D testing, and debug.
