GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION
This position will be responsible for safely developing and maintaining robotic welding programs and tooling to efficiently produce welded products. In this position, you will also prepare materials, conduct quality requirements and operate the robotic welding cell.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES
Responsibilities :
Develop and optimize robotic programs for new parts and existing parts Utilize offline programming software to program the robot as needed Actively support workplace organization and continuous improvement Assist in the design and development of robotic weld fixtures and tooling Maintain documentation and revision control of robotic programs Work with welding Engineers to develop automation initiatives Troubleshoot equipment and maximize process efficiency Provide additional operator and programing training Ensure on-time-delivery and build-to-schedule Record cycle times and process improvements Ensure all fixtures, robot, and welding power source are functioning properly Perform periodical preventative maintenance Communicate with supervisor to ensure schedule fulfillment
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS
Interpret welding symbology and quality control Two to three years of welding experience Critical thinking skills and computer skills Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and interpret drawings Proficient in technical mathematics and robotic programing
EDUCATIONAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
2-year technical degree in welding or robotics is preferred Working knowledge of welding principals and applications Working knowledge of welding technology and equipment Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation Must be able to lift at least 50lbs and stand or sit for extended periods in an office and/or industrial environment R-V Industries, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
