Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Real-World Data (RWD) Programmer to join our consulting team. In this role, you will be responsible for translating complex research questions into well-defined analytical solutions to support Real-World Evidence (RWE) studies, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), and epidemiological investigations. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement statistical programming solutions using SAS, SQL, R, and cloud-based environments to process and analyze large healthcare datasets, including claims data, electronic health records (EHR), and registry data. Conduct complex epidemiological and health outcomes research using real-world data sources such as MarketScan, Optum, Comodo, HealthVerity, Flatiron, Medicaid, and Medicare. Create patient cohorts, analytical datasets, prevalence studies, time-to-event analyses, lines of therapy, and outcome measures based on study protocols and statistical analysis plans (SAPs). Collaborate with epidemiologists, HEOR specialists, IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure accurate and efficient data analyses. Ensure high-quality programming documentation, validation, and adherence to industry best practices for reproducibility and efficiency.
Qualifications Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in a quantitative discipline: Health Economics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Data Science, Operations Research, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in statistical programming and real-world data analysis supporting RWE, HEOR, or epidemiology studies. Proven experience working with large healthcare databases, including medical & pharmacy claims, EHR, and registry data. Familiarity with healthcare coding systems such as ICD, CPT, HCPCS, and NDC. Must have strong experience in SQL plus either SAS or R for data processing, transformation, and reporting. Experience working in cloud-based environments (Hadoop, HUE, Databricks) is a plus.
Nice to have:
Proficiency in Python for data analysis and visualization.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manipulate and interpret complex healthcare data. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey technical findings to non-technical audiences. Ability to work both independently with minimal guidance and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple projects simultaneously.

$70,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
